Jim Casey Entertainment Testimonials

  • We used Jim twice and were delighted both times. Each of my daughters had very different types of Bat Mitzvah parties and the entertainment requirements were varied. Jim did a great job and LISTENED to my child and what she wanted. Two different parties, same great service.

  • "Jim: I didn't call as I knew you were going on vacation immediately following the Bat Mitzvah (on November 12, 2005). I am so pleased with your understanding of our needs. The DJ (YOU!) in this particular case was much more important than up to 50% ...

We needed an environment where the kids could be entertained and the adults could talk and have fun, all at the same time, in the same room. YOU pulled it off! In addition, Alyssa's musical tastes are "unique" and you managed to make it flow. I am so appreciative of your professionalism and the easy, respectful manner in which you interacted with my daughter. She felt as if she mattered and that your cared about her.

To top it off, your games for the kids were cleverly educational and the flashing star of David pins were perfect. I can't rant and rave enough and am looking forward to doing it again Saturday, August 25, 2007. No doubt about it, you made the party."

  • "Jim.... You were superb. Andrea had a great time and you know, when our children are happy we are happy. You kept the children fully engaged and the children were a # 1 priority for us. Thanks for everything.

  • "We contacted Jim last minute to be a DJ for our son's Bar Mitzvah (on May 28, 2005) as the plans with our other DJ weren't working out. He was fabulous from our first conversation ...professional and a great listener.

We had two different needs; a quieter luncheon and a fun, loud, kid's party including games and dancing that evening. Jim was able to do an outstanding job for both! Our friends and family had a great time!

Our son's friends continue to talk about the great time they had and want to plan another party with Jim.

    We would strongly recommend him!"

    My Philosophy

    • This is my 10th year in the Mobile DJ Business and the third that I have seriously offered Mitzvah Reception services.

In those 10 years I have performed at over 500 private events and there are two major conclusions I have come to.

      1. Treat People with Respect - This means respect the client's wishes with music and event selections. I will certainly use my years of experience to help my clients choose their music, events, and games, but would never tell them that things have to be done in a certain way. I am here to customize the event to your needs and will always take suggestions on making your event even more memorable.

This also means being aware of the religious traditions and being respectful of those as well.

      2. Education Always - Back in May 2006, a client I had recently worked with approached me with her contract ready to book me for her younger daughter's Bat Mitzvah celebration in 2007. In the six months between the older daughter's celebration and that night, they had seen me at least three other times with many of the same children.

The younger daughter was concerned that she had seen everything I had to offer in terms and games and events. She doesn't want to have the same party as her older sister.

I couldn't agree more. That's why many times a year I go out of town to learn new games and techniques from some of the leaders of the DJ and Entertainment industry.

It is not good enough to sit on your laurels with current knowledge. People want variety, innovation, and imagination. I work on this three traits every day to ensure that my business does not get old and stale.

      3. Personal Touch - I know that I am personally responsible for the flow of the event and to make sure the kids are Entertained and kept busy throughout. This is done with careful one-on-one planning. The Games and dances are meant to be fun, respectful, and all-inclusive.

A Mitzvah celebration is meant to be among the most positive and memorable experiences a Jewish child could have.  My sole purpose is to make that experience a reality.

I hope to hear from you.
